Job Details: Senior Manager: Strategy, Governance & Reporting – 12 month FTC
We have an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of our Sustainability and Sage Foundation team, leading the design and delivery of our global Sage Foundation strategy. As a member of the Sage Foundation Leadership Team, you will have the opportunity to shape, learn and grow through working with diverse internal and external stakeholders to deliver real impact and ensure Sage is delivering on our commitment to knock down barriers to everyone has the opportunity to thrive. Supporting the design, governance and execution of Sage Foundation’s ambitious multi-year strategy – mobilising the Sage ecosystem to deliver on our commitments.

In this dynamic role, you’ll lead the charge in delivering our new impact framework, ensuring our foundation’s initiatives are set up for success from the start and deliver the best change in our communities. You’ll collaborate with non-profit partners to produce comprehensive impact reports that showcase the positive changes we’re having. Your keen eye for continuous improvement will help enhance our foundation’s effectiveness and reach. Additionally, you’ll play a central role in shaping the legacy of our foundation ensuring our impact work is data-led and evidence-based for many years to come.
This is a 12 month FTC mat cover. Hybrid working – 3 days a week in office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy design and execution:
- Support the design of a multi-year strategy and be responsible for driving execution.
- Liaise with stakeholders across the business to shape Sage Foundation’s vision and ambition.
- Act as a key subject matter expert supporting the Foundation and Sustainability team to update, monitor and implement the policies, processes and frameworks that will drive strategy execution.
- Drive the development of cross-functional action plans to ensure Sage delivers against the strategy and policies requirements aiming to elevate Sage’s Social Impact credentials.
- Support the development of functional and regional roadmaps for the delivery and embedding of the Sage Foundation strategy across the organisation.
- Governance:
- Work across the Sustainability & Foundation teams as well as all business functions to establish best-in-class policies, procedures and reporting practices for Sage Foundation.
- Responsible for designing and evolving Sage Foundation’s governance ensuring that Board, relevant committees and management teams have the right level of oversight on this agenda.
- Support the active engagement of our key shareholders and act as a subject matter expert on Sage Foundation policies and governance.
- Ensure policy developments are proactively integrated into strategy.
- Accountable for the governance of the Sage Foundation Risk Register and pre-assurance readiness.
- Stakeholder engagement:
- Lead key stakeholder engagement and support the VP on Board and Senior Leadership team engagement.
- Work closely with teams leading Sage’s D&I initiatives, governance, comms and investor relations to ensure a coherent, joined up approach.
- Support the ESG/Sustainability leadership team to ensure alignment of the various streams of work (Sage Foundation, reporting, climate change etc.).
- Identify and drive synergies across the Sustainability & Foundation teams.
- On-going proactive relationship management to identify new or expanded opportunities to scale and amplify impact through collaboration.
- Measurement & Evaluation:
- Own and evolve Sage Foundation reporting practices and dashboard.
- Feed regional insight into the global Sustainability and Sage Foundation teams.
- Be accountable for the collection and processing of data to ensure its validity and compliance with global standards and policies.
- Maximise and track impact delivered through our partnerships.
- Look for opportunities to standardise, automate and simplify our reporting practices.
- Be a subject matter expert on social impact reporting standards and frameworks.
- Be an engaged member of the global Sustainability and Sage Foundation team:
- Contribute to our continuous improvement as a team – working on global projects (e.g. data/impact improvements, programme development, global ambassador initiatives, etc.).
- Play an active part in enhancing the reputation of Sustainability and Sage Foundation.
Skills, know-how and experience:

- Strong analytical skills with knowledge of the social impact/Foundation policy environment and trends.
- Experience and passion for shaping and working on sustainability and foundation strategies within a complex matrix environment.
- Experience of implementing strategic deliverables.
