This is a pivotal role within the business, responsible for leading the bid process on a variety of construction projects across the commercial, residential, and public sectors. About the Company We are a well-established and respected contractor delivering high-quality construction projects across London and the South East. With a strong pipeline of work and an emphasis on innovation, collaboration, and client satisfaction, we are now looking to strengthen our pre-construction team with a dedicated Bid Manager. The Role As Bid Manager, you will take ownership of the bid process from initial enquiry through to final submission. You’ll collaborate closely with Estimators, Planners, Design Managers, and Directors to ensure all bids are compliant, competitive, and compelling. Key Responsibilities: Manage and coordinate all aspects of the bid process. Develop and maintain bid programmes and submission timelines. Work closely with internal teams to gather technical, commercial, and operational input. Write and edit proposal content, ensuring clear, concise, and persuasive messaging. Review client requirements and ensure compliance across all documents. Lead bid review meetings and contribute to win strategies. Maintain a bid library of templates, case studies, and supporting documents. Requirements: Proven experience as a Bid Manager in the construction industry (main contractor or subcontractor). Excellent project management and organisational skills. Strong writing and communication abilities. Ability to manage multiple bids under pressure and to tight deadlines. Commercial awareness and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with InDesign or other desktop publishing software is a plus.
