Lawes Consulting Group are partnering with an expanding insurance broker who is seeking an Operations Manager to join the business due to a sustained period of growth. In this role, you will be responsible for analysing how the brokerage functions, from identifying how existing procedures can be streamlined, compliance levels maintained to assist in the business as it grows, and ensure systems are being utilised fully in terms of capturing data effectively and in a time efficient manner.

Being a newly created stand-alone position with the business, this role offers a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to play an integral role in building and developing the structure of the business whilst expanding on their own experience in line with the growth of the organisation.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in an operational role, preferably within an insurance broking or regulated professional services environment
  • Possess an understanding of operations, compliance, systems, and efficiencies
  • In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Proficiency in using the Acturis trading platform
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

SKILLS

  • Possess strong organisationaland project management skills
  • The ability to analyse data effectively and take a holistic view of the company’s processes

DAY-TO-DAY

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of the insurance brokerage, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness
  • Build relationships with colleagues in order to gain ‘buy in’ and allow smooth transitional changes
  • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and best practices to improve productivity and service delivery
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Collaborate with senior management to align operational strategies with business goals
  • Analyse operational performance metrics and implement improvements to drive results
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of brokerage software and systems
  • Support business growth initiatives by optimising operational processes and resources
