Position: General Services Team Leader

Employment Type: Full-time (35 hours per week, primarily Monday to Friday)

Additional Requirements: May be required to work evenings and weekends based on business needs. Onsite work only.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform physical manual handling, including lifting and transporting tools, equipment, and deliveries.
  2. Drive University vehicles to transport equipment across various sites.
  3. Provide absence cover for the Postal and Delivery team.
  4. Lead and supervise the General Services Assistants, ensuring high standards of service, safety, and compliance.
  5. Support the Estates and Facilities Directorate in maintaining and developing campus infrastructure.

As the General Services Team Leader, you will be instrumental in delivering a high-quality, customer-focused service that is efficient, cost-effective, and exceeds expectations. You will oversee statutory compliance and ensure the University remains a safe, well-maintained, and welcoming environment for students, staff, visitors, and partners.
