A highly successful team, Corporate Finance Advisory completed 258 deals with a total deal value of £15.4bn in 2024 and were named Number 1 M&A Advisor in the UK by Pitchbook. We comprise c.135 advisors throughout the UK, who have both strong regional presence and sector expertise combined with our wider international network and additional Debt Advisory and Public Company Advisory routes to market.
We work with mid‑market companies on strategies for growth and exit, building relationships with our clients, becoming their trusted advisor and helping them to identify the appropriate transaction to facilitate growth, whether this be through private equity or debt funding solutions. We enable founders to exit or identify succession by finding the right trade partner or investor, or indeed to float through the public markets.
For this role you will support deal teams across tasks to prepare and take a business to market, executing and negotiating sell‑side and buy‑side transactions. You will employ multiple skillsets utilising your financial expertise and negotiation skills in the execution and completion of a deal. In addition to this you will be part of a collegiate and collaborative team who genuinely enjoy working and celebrating success together.

A look into the role
As an Assistant Manager or Manager within our Corporate Finance team you will:
- Play a key role in supporting transaction execution and contributing across multiple projects.
- Have a major impact on our clients and our firm. We pride ourselves on the high‑level standards and quality we expect from our people.
- Work on the full client project lifecycle, from opportunity sourcing to pitch and completion you will be a key member of this team working alongside peers and senior individuals (Directors and Partners).
- Assist in collating and analysing financial and commercial data to support transactions.
- Draft information memoranda and marketing materials as part of the sale process.
- Prepare client presentations and pitch documents including credentials.
- Assist in valuing companies, utilising public company comparisons, precedent transactions and discount cash flow.
- Be a part of a close, dynamic Corporate Finance team, and work with a variety of clients across a range of sectors and regions. This will include the opportunity to work closely with one of our sector teams, developing industry‑specific expertise.
- Have opportunities to develop yourself and others, driving your own development with the support of your people manager.
Knowing you’re right for us
Joining us as an Assistant Manager or Manager, the minimum criteria you’ll need is to have:
- Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, ICAS, CA (or CIPFA or CFA qualified) or be able to demonstrate relevant experience in M&A, supported by a proven background in a similar role).
It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way:
- Competent knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of financial statements analysis and financial modelling.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
