Senior Site Manager

MJM Industrial are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Site Manager to work directly for a global market leader in material handling systems.

The Senior Site Manager will be responsible for elevating the leadership standard within the construction team and delivery of both baggage and non-baggage work packages in line with the programme schedule operating inside the site management structure within large and complex projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your role will include but is not limited to:

1. A robust and comprehensive understanding of people leadership with demonstrable execution.
2. Champion process adherence and improvement through collaboration and engagement with stakeholders.
3. Aware of dependencies and intricacies of cultural make up and human behaviour.
4. Responsible for liaison and interface management with clients and stakeholders.
5. Focal point for driving right first-time installations and client acceptance through driving gateway achievement and project milestones.
6. Desire to grow and develop through self-awareness and appetite to actively seek feedback.
7. Control of planned vs. actual progress and gauging the merits of initiatives to mitigate slippage and deviation.
8. Positively contribute to an inclusive culture and promoting collaboration, recognising success is measured through the extension of others.
9. Maintain a cohesive working environment where ownership and accountabilities are unambiguous within the site team and executed through empowerment, delegated authority and motivation.
10. Support the Construction Group Leader/s with initiatives, positively influencing others within both the site team and stakeholders.
11. Underpinned by self-awareness, embody a continuous growth mindset through remaining curious and actively developing skills against a backdrop of continuous improvement.
12. Capable of exercising a dynamic approach which requires adaptability to style and execution tactics to build leadership standards.
13. Maintaining a givers mindset building against a structured and deliberate approach.
14. Leader in safety & quality, setting the standard both in and out of the project environment.
15. Demonstrable ability to communicate with all levels of a team positively achieving the right outcome.
16. Lead with empathy whilst possessing the ability to be assertive through guidance and coaching to achieve optimal output from others collectively and individually.
17. Ability to balance competing priorities whilst maintaining a safe environment and meeting deadlines in a pressured, time critical delivery.

YOUR BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE

It is essential you meet the following criteria to be successful when applying for this Senior Site Manager role:

1. 5-10 years in a leadership role primarily focused on people management.
2. Understanding of people leadership principles and demonstrable people development skills.
3. 5+ years experience in successfully managing large teams during delivery of large and complex projects in a demanding environment with proven results.
4. Successful proven implementation of all phases within a project lifecycle, ranging from pre-construction through to handover.
5. Awareness and solid understanding of CDM Regulations and HASWA.
6. Ability to create robust site planning to complement the master project schedule through owning the last planner process.
7. IT literate, capable of using MS Office and Outlook as a minimum.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. SMSTS Trained as a minimum.
2. NVQ Level 5 in Strategic Management & Leadership or equivalent.
3. NEBOSH General Certificate or higher.
4. CSCS Black Management Card.
5. Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Training or equivalent.

Pay: £65,000.00-£70,000.00 per year.
