WHAT WE NEED YOU TO DO
The purpose of the Sustainable Sourcing Vice President is to globally create and lead the implementation of sustainable, low cost and qualitative sourcing strategies for all categories, align and integrate R&D requirements inside the Sustainable Sourcing Team. Lead all these activities following a clear and structured process. (Yes, we mean business).
Strategic Leadership:
- Define and implement the Sustainable Sourcing strategy for all categories (Direct, Indirect, and Co-Manufacturing) and ensure alignment across teams.
- Drive supplier classification, governance structures, and assignment of new business opportunities in collaboration with R&D and procurement teams.
- Foster the development of Autonomous Sourcing Units (ASUs) for Direct, Indirect, and Finished Goods to balance quality, sustainability, and cost considerations.
Supplier Management:
- Lead strategic relationships with key suppliers, ensuring proper governance and collaboration on business agendas.
- Embed quality assurance and sustainability requirements into the global sourcing process.
- Support the development of new materials and production technologies alongside the Product Development team.
Team and Process Development:
- Lead and coordinate key stakeholders, including Sourcing, Co-Manufacturing, Innovation, and other functions, to ensure seamless strategy execution.
- Build and manage robust sourcing processes to standardize operations within the team and across the company.
Performance and Accountability:
- Establish and monitor KPIs for delivery performance, cost optimization, sustainability, and innovation.
- Oversee budget performance and deliver cost savings in line with the Sustainable Sourcing budget.
- Ensure capacity planning meets demand from factories and co-packers.
In this role, you will report into the Global SVP of Sustainable Operations. The position can be placed in Malmö, Berlin, Amsterdam, London or Barcelona. Some travel may be required.
WHAT WE NEED YOU TO BRING TO THE TABLE
We are looking for you who have a proven track record in category management for Sustainable Sourcing in international settings and at least 15 years of experience in strategic Sustainable Sourcing, Business Development, and Strategic Agendas within a global set-up. You have a master’s degree in engineering or business economics, ideally with an MBA.
Other key competencies & experiences:
- Strong supplier market knowledge and deep understanding of production technologies for specific categories and experience in food manufacturing or FMCG.
- Excellent management and leadership abilities with an ability to lead and inspire.
- Proficient in ERP systems, preferably Microsoft AX.
- Competence in BI systems such as Qlik, Power BI, or others.
- Expertise in project management and strong negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of SHE, BRC/HACCP, environmental standards, and sustainability.
