Senior Buyer required. Do you have a background buying materials and consumables within a Manufacturing environment? Are you looking to work for a first class precision engineering business? If so, then please read on. Role: Senior Buyer – Aerospace Location: Derby Salary: Up to £45,000 DOE Hours: Mon-Thurs (7.00am/8.00am – 4.00pm/5.00pm) Fridays (7.00am – 12.00pm) Holidays: 5.6 weeks of annual leave per year inc. bank holidays, increasing to 6.6 weeks inc. bank holidays following 1 year of continuous service. Benefits: Occupational Sick Pay, death in service x2 of salary, pension scheme. Overview: Working within a first-class precision engineering business that manufacture components with methods such as CNC Machining, Sheet metal and Fabrication, we now require a Senior Buyer to lead a team of 2 buyers reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager. Brief overview of accountabilities: Effective day to day management of your designated suppliers Lead monthly order book reviews with designated suppliers to identify performance improvements Lead the project management of key purchasing projects Manage inventory levels where applicable to an optimum level to ensure business continuity Ensure internal systems are kept up to date with supplier inputs (lead times, pricing, delivery dates etc)The ideal candidate Senior Buyer may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually: Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment that manufacture and assemble components – machining, sheet metal and fabrication or similar Previous experience working in a buying capacity within an engineering environment with some leadership duties or the capacity to manage and lead a team.
