AA Euro Group are seeking a dynamic Project Manager (Civil or Electrical biased) to join our clients team delivering high-voltage (HV) and extra high-voltage (EHV) substation projects. You will oversee all aspects of project execution, ensuring safety, quality, and profitability while maintaining excellent client relationships.
This is a full time permanent position based in the London area.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Leadership: Direct multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, subcontractors, and site personnel, to achieve project objectives.
- Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a strong safety culture.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals.
- Risk Management: Identify potential project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and address issues proactively.
- Quality Control: Monitor project progress against agreed standards and ensure deliverables meet client expectations and specifications.
- Financial Oversight: Manage project budgets, approve expenditures, and track financial performance to ensure profitability.
- Reporting: Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and clients, highlighting key milestones and challenges.
Requirements
- Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable.
- Experience:
- Minimum 8 years experience in project management within the construction or M&E sector, ideally with a focus on substations or power infrastructure.
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent knowledge of substation construction processes, contracts (e.g., NEC or FIDIC), and regulatory requirements.
- Proficient in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
