Requirements
- You will be personable and commercially-savvy, with strong organisation skills and the ability to work across multiple teams in the business

- The ability to balance creative ambitions with commercial goals to ensure projects deliver for Avant Arte and our Artists

- Confidence in pitch deck creation, from design to storytelling, and pitch presentation
- The ability to build meaningful relationships with the diverse range of Artists on our ever-growing roster
- (Desirable) A proven track record of delivering pitches and projects. You might have worked in a creative agency as an account handler, producer or project manager, or working in a partnerships role for a brand in the creative industries
- (Desirable) An existing knowledge of the Art market (artists, auction houses, galleries) or a passion to learn more about it
What the job involves
- This role gives you the chance to work with some of the world’s most exciting artists and puts you in charge of growing Avant Arte’s reputation and revenues
- PITCHING: preparing high-quality, creative, commercially viable project proposals to support the acquisition of new artist projects for the business
- Undertaking pricing research to inform a pitch and demonstrate an understanding of an Artist’s market
- Leading cross-functional briefings to ensure all information is gathered for a pitch
- Driving internal timelines, reviews and meeting pitch deadlines
- Pitch deck creation, storytelling and design in Google slides
- In some cases, pitch presentations to artists, studios or institutions over call or in person
- Reporting against pitch targets on a weekly basis by keeping pitch trackers up to date with status and accurate projected revenue
- PROJECT DELIVERY: working collaboratively with teams across the business, and with our artists to effectively project manage and deliver our projects successfully, on time
- Managing the negotiation and signing of our artist contracts, and working closely with our in-house production team to prepare commercially viable project concepts and budgets
- Ensuring all projects are kept moving at pace and delivered on time to a high standard, requiring clear communication across internal teams: collaborating with and getting input from Marketing & Content, Creative Production and Sales colleagues
- Ongoing, clear communication and management of Artist expectations throughout each project, striking the right balance of sharing crucial information without overwhelming, and sensitively timing when is best to follow up or check in on anything outstanding
- Building release overviews & long-term collaboration proposals for Artists after the first release, requiring an understanding of their market and goals, to inform a pitch for the next collaboration if viable
- ARTIST RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT: building meaningful relationships with Artists to drive engagement, a five-star experience and ongoing, successful collaborations
- Establishing strong relationships with Artists (and associated studio managers / galleries) – understanding their ambitions for their career, market and legacy to get the most engagement possible out of them on our projects, from participating in content creation and promoting the release on their channels with posts, to collector referrals and speedy approvals of key project elements such as proofs, product pages and contracts
- Identifying ways to make the relationship closer and other ways we can add value – such as studio visits and tours of our printmaking studio
- Being an expert in an Artist and their market, and combining softer relationship building skills with harder analytical skills to understand their market demand dynamics, sharing these insights with the business to help us and the Artist fulfil their potential
