The Role
The Senior Fleet Manager oversees driver operations to ensure exceptional customer service and fleet profitability, manages daily scheduling and cross-functional communication, and supports business goals through performance tracking, safety compliance and strategic planning. This role also authorizes compensation, fosters driver relations and provides regional coverage as needed to maintain operational continuity. This position will cover Fleet Manager responsibilities with various accounts as business needs arise in various locations. Training will be provided as assignments arise at different locations or with different accounts.

Shift: Will vary depending on business needs. After hours as needed for meetings and to meet business needs. Hours at the beginning for training and onboarding may vary.

Compensation: $73,221 – $117,203 Starting Wages (Pay Bi-Weekly) *A final amount is dependent on factors including prior relevant experience, knowledge, and location. Typically, selected candidates are hired at a rate between the minimum and midpoint of the range.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Driver Management – Oversee a team of drivers to ensure exceptional customer service delivery and fleet profitability
  • Customer Service – Perform all aspects of dedicated customer support including load booking and service failure resolution
  • Operational Planning – Manage daily scheduling of equipment and drivers to maximize utilization
  • Cross-Functional Communication – Serve as liaison between customers, drivers and internal departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Driver Relations – Build and maintain positive relationships with drivers to enhance performance and support retention efforts
  • Authorization – Approve pay-related items in alignment with company policy
  • Safety Compliance – Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are consistently followed
  • Performance Tracking – Assist in the development and management of customized KPIs to monitor and achieve performance goals
  • Travel and Coverage – Travel will be required as business needs arise to cover for colleagues that may be on vacation or leave. Coverage could be into the PNW down to central California.
  • Accountability & Reliability – Maintain regular and reliable attendance while performing other duties as assigned to support team and business needs
