Purpose of Role

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to join our team on a prestigious defence contract based in Frimley. This role is a Maternity Cover for 12 months.

Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of hard FM services, ensuring all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) works and statutory inspections are carried out efficiently and to the highest standard.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate all PPM activities and statutory inspections across the site.
  • Liaise with and manage subcontractors, ensuring compliance with service level agreements and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of works completed, inspections, and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are delivered in accordance with contractual, technical, and health & safety requirements.
  • Conduct site audits and inspections to ensure the highest operational standards are met.
  • Work collaboratively with the client and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure smooth service delivery.

Essential Qualifications/Skills

  • Proven experience in facilities management, ideally within a defence, public sector, or similarly secure environment.
  • Strong understanding of PPM scheduling and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and contractor management skills.
  • Competent in the use of IT systems, including CAFM software, Microsoft Office, and digital reporting tools.
  • Full UK driving licence is essential due to site mobility requirements.
  • Strong organisational and problem‑solving skill.
