Job Description:
Overview:
Supports all accounting-related activities, projects, analyses, and conversions within Global Capital Markets (GCM). Responsible for developing and managing operational accounting controls to support accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in monthly closing of the general ledger, including analyzing account fluctuations and preparing reports.
- Perform variance analysis, reconciliations, and data integrity tests.
- Review transaction documentation for accuracy and investigate variances.
- Support process improvements and new process implementations.
- Assist in integrating acquired portfolios into the general ledger.
- Contribute to the creation and testing of business and functional requirements.
- Prepare timely and accurate accounting reports.
- Participate in problem resolution, data interpretation, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Support departmental planning and administrative duties.
- Adhere to risk and regulatory standards, escalate issues as needed.
- Promote a culture of inclusion and reflect the company’s brand.
- Maintain internal control standards and support audit processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
