About the role
The Assistant Finance Business Partner is a key role providing financial analysis and support to the Finance Business Partners, wider Finance team and stakeholders across UCAS.
Key accountabilities:
Business partnering
- Build professional and effective relationships across the business with key stakeholders
Monthly Reporting
- Support the Finance Business Partners in the preparation of monthly management accounts and revenue recognition.
Business Planning and Forecast
- Assist the Finance Business Partners in producing the annual budgets.
Business and Market Analysis
- Support the business with product and service costing, as well as analysis to support and monitor investments and initiatives.
Teamwork
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of all relevant financial principles and accounting standards and be able to explain these to technical and non-technical colleagues across the business.

Skills, qualifications, and experience
• Ideally AAT qualified or equivalent and studying towards or willing to study towards a recognised accounting qualification such as CIMA or ACCA.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Highly analytical, with an eye for detail.
• Ability to present information clearly and coherently.
• Possess initiative, and the ability to successfully implement new ideas.
• Drive, energy, and a good team player, who is also able to work independently.
• Approachable, helpful, trusted, ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Experience of data analysis, interpretation, reconciliation, and presentation.
• A confident communicator with internal and external stakeholders, at all levels
