Job Description
What is the opportunity?
You will be joining the Enterprise Risk Management UK & Channel Islands (ERM, UK & CI) team.
ERM, UK & CI is a part of Group Risk Management (GRM) and is responsible for defining and implementing an effective risk framework and governance structure across RBC\’s European operations, in particular for RBC\’s main subsidiary RBC Europe Limited (RBCEL), RBC London Branch (RBC LB), Royal Bank of Canada (Channel Islands) Limited (RBCCIL) and RBC Global Assets Management (UK) Limited (GAM UK).
This position is full time and will require you to work a minimum of 4 days in the office per week with the option to work one day from home.
What will you do?
The role holder will be responsible for providing ERM support to RBCCIL and GAM UK. This includes:
- Preparation of monthly risk appetite scorecards and quarterly risk reports for the respective management committees and the Board;
- Daily monitoring of EWIs for Recovery Planning;
- Assisting the team in the production of the annual ICAAP and the ICARA;
- Assisting the team with the refresh of Risk Management policies and frameworks; coordinating the refresh of annual risk appetite where applicable and preparing the presentation for approval by the respective management committees and the Board;
- Supporting Risk Governance activities.
- Assisting with ad-hoc requests as required.

- Undergraduate Degree in a technical discipline (such as Finance, Economics, Accountancy or other quantitative discipline) or similar/equivalent.
- Understanding of risk management.
- Good communicator and motivated.

- Ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite.
- Good analytical skills.
