Associate, Performance & Risk Analytics – Investment Management

London, Hybrid

This role sits within the Investment Operations & Client Services function, supporting the Associate Director and Head of Performance & Risk Analytics. You’ll help deliver accurate, insightful performance and risk analysis across a range of products and asset classes, while contributing to process improvements and stakeholder engagement.

The Role

  • Deliver performance and investment reporting for all Investors products, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.
  • Perform in-depth analysis across multiple asset classes—including attribution, modelling, and risk-return assessments—spanning funds and mandates.
  • Oversee and review Analysts’ work, providing guidance and ensuring deliverables meet technical and professional standards.
  • Manage workflow, schedules, and shared inbox to maintain quality service and timely responses.
  • Produce reports and analytics using B-One, FactSet, Bloomberg, and in-house systems.
  • Lead technical discussions with clients, investment teams, and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor communications to ensure they align with organisational values and client standards.
  • Support process and system improvement projects, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Identify emerging risks, trends, and operational issues, and contribute to solutions.

Financial Management

  • Produce and verify all required performance calculations, including contributions, attribution versus benchmarks, periodic performance reporting, FUM and commitment reports, and performance fee calculations.
  • Ensure high data quality and accuracy in all internal and external reporting.

Commercial Support

  • Provide data and reports for teams such as Marketing, Corporate, and Global Investor Relations.
  • Assist with new product development initiatives.
  • Offer feedback on operational processes and systems supporting performance and reporting needs.

Your Background

  • 3–5 years’ experience in performance analytics or reporting within investment management, asset owners, funds administration, or custody, servicing institutional clients.
  • Exposure to private markets, fixed income, or infrastructure is advantageous.
  • Strong ability to manage large datasets, investigate discrepancies, and meet tight deadlines without compromising accuracy.
  • Proven track record in building strong working relationships across business areas and with external clients.
  • Excellent written, verbal, analytical, and numerical skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Relevant degree in commerce, economics, finance, or related discipline.
  • Solid knowledge of performance analytics, attribution, and investment markets (including unlisted assets).

Systems Expertise

  • Bloomberg, FactSet, Aladdin; advanced MS Excel (VBA a plus).
  • Strong knowledge of FactSet modules (B-One, PA3, SPAR).
