Regional Business Development Manager – East Mids, London
Our client is a leading professional membership body providing training, professional standards, online knowledge, conferences, events, and member services with over , members worldwide. Committed to sustainability, inclusivity, and excellence, they are expanding their regional outreach through the appointment of several Regional Business Development Managers. This role is based in the East Midlands / East of England, near one of the major cities.
The Role
As Business Development Manager, you\’ll target organisations familiar with the organisation, working from warm leads. You will be the key contact for engaging with a diverse portfolio including consultancies, local authorities, universities, housing associations, and large corporate estates. Your mission will be to nurture strategic partnerships, promote professional development services, and drive regional engagement.
You will sell a range of products including membership programmes, training and upskilling solutions, digital platforms, sponsorship opportunities, and industry events. Collaboration with senior executives and HR leaders will be central to understanding how the organisation can support their goals.
About You
We\’re seeking relationship-focused business development professionals with experience in B2B sales and account management, ideally within a membership-based or professional services environment. Strong communication skills are essential, with the ability to sell consultatively and develop strategic solutions. You should be confident in building relationships with stakeholders across public, private, academic, and third sectors.
This is a home-based role involving frequent travel across your designated region. Meeting at client offices in various UK locations is possible. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential; the company will reimburse travel expenses and offer mileage reimbursement.
