The role
As Business Development Manager, you\’ll be targeting organisations who will know and respect the organisation, so will be working off warm leads. You will be the key point of contact for engaging with a diverse portfolio of organisations including consultancies, local authorities, universities, housing associations, and large corporate estates where your mission will be to nurture strategic partnerships, promote professional development services, and drive regional engagement.
You\’ll be selling a range of products including membership programmes, training and upskilling solutions, digital platforms, sponsorship opportunities, and industry events. Regular collaboration with senior executives and HR leaders will be central to understanding how this organisation can support their goals.
About You
We\’re seeking relationship-focused business development professionals with experience in B2B sales and account management, ideally within a membership-based or professional services environment. Strong communication skills are essential, with the ability to sell consultatively and come up with strategic solutions. You will be confident developing relationships with a wide range of stakeholders across public, private, academic, and third sectors.
This is a home-based role, involving frequent travel across your designated region – you\’ll also have the opportunity to meet at the client\’ offices which are based in various locations across the UK. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential, the company will reimburse travel and offers mileage rather than a company car.
