At Warwickshire County Cricket Club, we are committed to developing the next generation of professional cricketers, and our Boys Academy plays a vital role in that mission. As Academy Lead, Boys, you will oversee the year-round training programme, ensuring a clear pathway from junior cricket to the professional game. This role offers the chance to lead player development, manage key fixtures, and influence the future of Warwickshire cricket.

  • Holds a minimum ECB Level 3 coaching qualification (or equivalent) with experience in a high-performance cricket environment.

  • Has a proven track record of mentoring and developing players, helping them progress to county and national levels.

  • Can manage the U18 County Age Group (CAG) fixture programme and support the transition to the 2nd XI and professional cricket.

  • Has experience in 2nd XI cricket selection and coaching, as well as contributing to the Emerging Player Programme (EPP).

  • Understands ECB coaching frameworks, including the County Partnership Agreement (CPA) and ICEC report.

  • Can develop individual player plans and use video analysis to enhance performance.

  • Demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills, working collaboratively with coaches, analysts, and sports science teams.

  • Can manage budgets and build key partnerships, including aligning Staffordshire’s talent pathway with Warwickshire’s Academy.

  • Holds up-to-date safeguarding, first aid, and DBS certification.
