Our client is a leading European industrial distributor specialising in engineered components, precision sealing solutions and vendor-managed inventory services for OEMs and industrial manufacturers.
Part of a major international group, the company operates from multiple sites and partners with thousands of customers worldwide delivering specialist supply chain solutions and high-performance industrial components. Serving sectors such as oil & gas, energy, aerospace, defence, automotive, food & beverage, and general manufacturing the business has recently strengthened its capabilities through the successful integration long-established UK specialists. They are now seeking a proven Divisional Director to take full ownership of a Division and drive its next phase of growth.
The Opportunity
As Divisional Director, you will take full commercial and operational leadership of a specialist sealing products business with significant growth potential. Reporting to the European President, you will shape and execute the division’s strategy, driving revenue expansion, enhancing profitability and ensuring operational excellence. This is a key leadership role with responsibility as well as the integration of future acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the division’s growth strategy, targeting significant revenue increases over the next three years.
- Drive business development by expanding sales within existing group customers and entering new markets.
- Manage divisional P&L, ensuring strong margin performance and operational efficiency.
- Build and maintain senior level customer relationships across core industrial sectors.
- Inspire and develop a high-performing team across sales, operations and customer service.
- Identify and evaluate acquisition opportunities to accelerate growth.
- Collaborate with other divisions to deliver integrated solutions to the customer base.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven commercial leadership experience within seals, O-Rings, or closely related industrial products (5+ years).
- Track record of growing a business, division or business unit of comparable size.
- Experience selling into OEMs, industrial manufacturers, distributors or MRO channels.
- Strong P&L management skills and commercial acumen adapting to market changes.
- Ability to inspire, develop, and retain high-performing teams.
- M&A exposure, including acquisition evaluation and integration, is advantageous.
- Digitally literate with a data-driven approach to decision making including CRM/ERP system utilisation.
