Purpose of the role:
The Marketing Effectiveness Lead will play a key role in measuring and improving the performance of our marketing activities. You will work closely with data, finance and commercial teams to ensure our marketing spend is effective, and our campaigns deliver measurable results.
This is a newly created role, offering the opportunity to shape the approach to marketing effectiveness from the ground up and embed it within the business.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Devise and apply a measurement framework across all ii media channels, online and offline.
- Lead full funnel post-campaign reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing activity across teams, leverage campaign insights to recommend future optimisations
- Analyse marketing performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Analyse marketing performance across the entire customer journey, from awareness through to conversion, ensuring a cohesive understanding of effectiveness at each stage.
- Ensure that data insights are actionable and fed into future marketing learning, providing clarity on the \”WHY\” behind campaign successes or areas for improvement.
- Build and nurture strong, collaborative relationships across Marketing, Finance, and Data teams to drive aligned decision-making
- Work with the data team to ensure econometric models are effectively applied in marketing planning and performance analysis
- Work closely with the commercial and finance teams to ensure marketing spend is efficient.
- Leverage internal and external data to develop comprehensive insights on customer behaviour, campaign performance, and market trends.
- Demonstrate the impact of channels (organic, paid, by platform, and media format) on awareness, consideration, conversion and customer acquisition, retention, and lifecycles.
Skills And Experience
- Strong background in evaluating large-scale media investment across multi-channel environments, ideally within financial services
- Confident working with SQL, PBI and managing large datasets
- Demonstrated ability to spot opportunities, drive media efficiency, and contribute to commercial growth
- Proactive and solutions-focused, with a collaborative mindset and ability to navigate cross-functional teams
- Organised and detail-oriented, with a high standard of rigour in approach
- Clear and effective communicator, able to distil complex ideas into straightforward insights.
