About the Role

We are seeking talented Integration & Test Engineers with a strong background in Infrastructure Engineering to join our expanding team in Gloucester. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy integrating complex systems, testing advanced technologies, and ensuring the reliability and security of critical infrastructure.

You will play a key role in integrating, testing, and maintaining high-performance, secure systems across a range of platforms. The position offers opportunities to work with cutting-edge tools and technologies while developing your expertise in DevSecOps and infrastructure automation. This role requires DV Clearance, and candidates will need to go through security checks if they don\’t already hold this level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, and execute software integration and test plans to meet defined specifications.
  • Design and implement automated test frameworks and CI/CD pipelines to improve delivery speed and consistency.
  • Use infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible to support scalable and efficient deployments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across full system stacks, focusing on performance and reliability.
  • Integrate large-scale solutions across hybrid cloud environments.
  • Work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary Agile teams using modern DevSecOps approaches.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in test and integration engineering within Agile or Scrum environments.
  • Strong understanding of Windows and Linux systems and DevSecOps principles.
  • Experience with automated testing, CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab), and collaboration platforms such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Working knowledge of cloud technologies and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
  • Ability to analyze and report test results, identifying performance trends and anomalies.
  • Experience in setting up and maintaining test environments, including Blue/Green deployment strategies.
  • Relevant certifications such as ISTQB Foundation or Certified Agile Tester are advantageous.

Desired Skills

  • Practical experience deploying and managing services in AWS (EC2, EKS, Lambda, IAM, S3).
  • Experience automating integration tasks using the AWS SDK (Boto3).
  • Understanding of hybrid-cloud deployments and use of CloudTrail for debugging and diagnostics.
  • Experience developing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines for large-scale cloud environments.
