We’re looking for an experienced and passionate General Catering Manager to oversee the daily operations of our catering service, ensuring that our students and staff have access to high-quality, nutritious meals. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a vibrant, dynamic environment while enjoying a Monday to Friday work schedule., As the General Catering Manager, you will be responsible for managing the catering operation, including food preparation, menu planning, and leading a team to deliver exceptional service. You’ll ensure that all meals meet nutritional standards, comply with health and safety regulations, and cater to a variety of dietary needs., * Catering Management:

Oversee daily catering operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service.

Manage food preparation, cooking, and presentation, ensuring high-quality meals.

Develop and plan menus in collaboration with school nutritionists, considering student preferences, dietary restrictions, and nutritional guidelines.

Monitor portion control, food wastage, and overall budget management.

Team Leadership:

Lead and motivate a team of kitchen staff, ensuring high performance and teamwork.

Provide ongoing training and development for all catering staff.

Manage staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and compliance with labour regulations.

Health & Safety Compliance:

Ensure all food preparation and serving areas adhere to health and safety guidelines.

Maintain hygiene standards and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.

Manage allergen control processes and ensure food is safely prepared for students with dietary restrictions.

Customer Experience:

Work closely with students, parents, and school staff to ensure satisfaction with the catering service.

Administration & Budgeting:

Manage stock control and place orders with suppliers.

Monitor and report on catering budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.

Proven experience in catering management, ideally within a school, academy, or similar environment.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Experience with menu planning, food safety, and compliance with health regulations., + Relevant qualifications in catering, hospitality management, or a related field.

Food Safety Level 3 or equivalent.
