Role Overview
We are seeking an Engineering Manager with a Scrum Master background , who has a solid technical foundation (SDLC experience, previously a software engineer/developer). The ideal candidate will be delivery-focused with strong people management skills, managing a team of 6-9 engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Remove external impediments to facilitate team delivery.
- Ensure the successful delivery of software projects.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to manage delivery timelines and expectations.
- Monitor and report on project scope, time, and cost.
- Drive Agile practices within the team.
- Manage all team ceremonies, including stand-ups, refinement, and retrospectives.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or similar role in software development.
- Strong delivery skills and experience.
- People management and mentoring experience (1-2-1s, reviews).
- Excellent knowledge of Agile methodologies.
- Background in SDLC, starting as a Software Developer or Tester.
- Knowledge of data-driven environments is a plus.
