About The Role
As Director, Market Planning & Operations for EMEA, you will lead the planning, pricing, and operational execution of our advertising business across your markets—from regional summary down to each country. You are responsible for translating global strategy into actionable regional and country-level plans, optimizing commercial performance, and equipping teams to deliver on ambitious growth targets.
Reporting to the Regional Advertising Leader, you will oversee a team spanning revenue planning, pricing & packaging, and sales operations. You’ll partner closely with Sales, the RYA (Revenue, Yield & Analytics) team in Finance, Product, Market Activation, and other cross-functional partners to ensure plans are data-driven, locally relevant, and aligned with Netflix’s global standards. Beyond operational management, you’ll drive process improvement, champion analytics, and foster a high-performing, accountable, and innovative culture.
Key Responsibilities
Regional Planning & Commercial Execution
- Lead the end-to-end regional planning cycle, including forecasting, revenue pacing, target-setting, and long-range business planning at both the regional and country level.
- Translate global strategies into actionable plans that reflect local market dynamics, buyer behavior, product readiness, and inventory mix.
- Adjust strategies in response to real-time market performance and evolving business objectives.
- Identify target customers and determine optimal pricing and packaging strategies to maximize revenue and market growth.
- Ensure commercial plans are market-based, accurate, clear, adaptable, and provide timely insights and recommendations to leadership.
Pricing, Packaging & Revenue Optimization
- Oversee all planning and the development of localized pricing and packaging strategies, in close partnership with the Revenue, Yield & Analytics (RYA) team in Finance and regional/global leadership.
- Develop standardized media planning frameworks that translate pricing and packaging strategies into actionable templates and tools for commercial teams, enabling them to efficiently build client-ready media plans and deliver consistent, high-quality positioning across markets.
- Use data and analytics to optimize pricing models, inventory management, and revenue outcomes.
- Collaborate with Measurement and Account Management teams to drive media planning utilizing a mixture of 1st and 3rd party data.
Operational Excellence & Process Improvement
- Partner with Revenue Analytics & Inventory Management and Enablement teams to localize and optimize systems, workflows, and training for sales teams.
- Deliver clarity to commercial teams through operational playbooks, planning calendars, and in-quarter tracking.
- Champion automation, process improvement, and scalable systems to unlock efficiency and growth.
- Serve as the region’s “data hub,” surfacing trends and opportunities to inform decision-making across leadership and cross-functional partners.
Team Leadership
- Build, lead, and develop a team of regional pricing, planning, and sales ops professionals.
- Foster a pragmatic, high-performance culture centered on accountability, operational excellence, and commercial outcomes.
- Set clear priorities and ensure alignment to both regional goals and global frameworks.
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Act as the regional point of coordination across Sales, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Product, Enablement and Measurement teams.
- Ensure market-specific requirements are integrated into global initiatives, launches, and quarterly workflows.
- Lead regional participation in cross-functional planning and ensure smooth in-market execution.
Qualifications
- At least 15 years of experience in advertising operations, planning, pricing, or commercial enablement in tech, media, or streaming.
- Proven success building and leading teams in fast-moving, high-complexity environments.
- Deep understanding of EMEA markets, especially media and advertising landscape in 5 EU, including client dynamics, regulatory context, and inventory trends.
- Experience driving complex planning and execution in regional or international markets within a global company structure.
- Financial fluency—comfortable owning forecast, pacing, and performance narratives.
- Highly skilled in managing cross-functional programs and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Experience in a global media or CTV platform with scaled regional operations is preferred.
- Familiarity with CRM, forecasting, and operational tooling used by advertising organizations.
