Purpose of the Role
Dentsu International, the international arm of the Dentsu Group is seeking to recruit an individual to take the strategic lead with respect to foreign exchange and interest rate management. This role provides more strategic focus to the treasury function and will be reporting to the Deputy Group Treasurer.
Key Responsibilities
- FX Exposure Management – Identify, manage and report on FX exposures across the Group developing hedging strategies. Develop improved reporting and consolidation of exposures.
- FX gains and losses monitoring and reporting – monitor FX gains and losses, identify unhedged balances and explain variances
- FX execution – Execute hedges accurately and on a timely basis for the most effective hedge
- Hedge Accounting β Advise hedge accounting applications, create hedge documentation, run hedge effectiveness test and provide journal entries
- Regulatory Compliance β Ensure compliance with all FX regulatory requirements (EMIR/LEI)
- Promotion of Treasury Management System β ensure better utilisation of TMS around the group for FX reporting, FX valuations and FX accounting.
- Accounting support β provide support for treasury accounting, year end statutory disclosures notes relating to debt, derivatives and FX
- Bank relationships β regular bank calls and reviews of bank trading levels to optimise pricing
Qualifications + Skills
- Relevant treasury qualification (AMCT or MCT) or accountancy qualification (CIMA or ACA) is useful but not essential for role.
- Strong, proven analytical abilities and demonstrated ability to use excel/other financial tools to construct models for decision making and solve financial problems systematically
- Ability to contribute and thrive in a global team-oriented environment as well as operate independently to identify treasury issues and needs, research, recommend and implement the details of various financial solutions
- An experienced business partner who is able to effectively manage stakeholders and problem solve.
- An experienced treasury professional with substantial relevant experience
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
