We are looking for a Senior Administrator to support staff across the Area reserves while based in our Area Office at Loch Gruinart on Islay with some flexibility to work from home. Senior Administrator – Argyll Islands Reference: AUG (Apply online only) Location: RSPB Loch Gruinart, Isle of Islay Contract: Permanent Hours: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week Salary: £25,847.00 – £27,594.00 Per Annum Benefits: Pension Scheme, Life Assurance Scheme, 26 days\’ Annual Leave Are you a proactive organiser and planner who relishes helping others to get the job done? What\’s the role about? You will work closely with a wide-ranging team to deliver a range of work to help our priority species and habitats in this area. You will also be part of the wider South Scotland Regional Admin team. Essential skills, knowledge and experience: * Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications – Outlook, Word, Excel – plus the ability to impart this knowledge to others. * Experience of managing and reporting financial information. * Knowledge of budget management processes. * Knowledge of document management and team collaboration tools, e.g., SharePoint * Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences whether by phone, email, or in person. * Able to organise meetings and events, from small to large, and coordinate all aspects of the meetings or event logistics. * Able to make best use of time particularly when under pressure from competing priorities. * Able to deal with confidential and sensitive information appropriately. * Experience of providing administrative support within a large and complex organisation. Desirable skills, knowledge and experience: * Familiarity with project management approaches. * Experience of complying with and applying health and safety codes of practice * Knowledge of current conservation issues and priorities.
