Community Staff Nurse

Stockport Foundation Trust is one of four ‘specialist’ hospital sites in Greater Manchester. Being a ‘specialist’ hospital will enhance our general surgery, anaesthetics, critical care and emergency medicine for the benefit of people in Stockport, High Peak, Cheshire and across Greater Manchester.

The post holders will work with the Community Nurses and Adults Social care staff to provide a first class service to the residents of Stockport. We are looking for a flexible, innovative practitioner with a variety of clinical skills. The District Nursing Service provides care in patients’ homes as well as residential homes caring for patients with complex needs and supporting carers.

The post holder should have good organisational and assessment skills, be flexible and willing to cover the service between 08.00 and 18.00 over a 7 day period. We hold a unique position in the Stockport community as the provider of healthcare and we are one of its largest employers.
