Nestled just a stone’s throw from Bournemouth University, our venue benefits from a prime location that attracts both locals and holidaymakers. The area sees significant seasonal sales uplift, making it a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to drive performance throughout the year.
The site is also surrounded by strong corporate opportunities, with Vitality’s headquarters right next door, ensuring a steady flow of potential business. In addition to competitors such as Turtle Bay, Popworld, O’Neil’s, and other independent bars, the Bournemouth hospitality scene is buzzing, offering plenty of room for us to stand out.
Slug & Lettuce Bournemouth OCR is one of two S&L sites in this beautiful seaside city, offering a two-floor operation with one of the largest outdoor drinking areas in the area. We’ve recently invested in our garden space, providing an ideal spot for guests to relax and enjoy their time with us.
Our site boasts a healthy Dark Kitchen trade (around £4k per week) alongside a loyal customer base from the local corporate community and Bournemouth University. The venue’s location atop a hill overlooking Dean Park adds to its appeal, making it a true standout in the Bournemouth circuit.

As the General Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading a dedicated team, overseeing day-to-day operations, and driving both guest satisfaction and commercial success. You’ll thrive in a busy, high-energy environment, leveraging local and seasonal opportunities to maximize sales and grow the business.
If you are a General Manager with a passion for people, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in hospitality, this is the role for you.
