The opportunity
We’re looking for a Programme Assurance Manager to join our forward-thinking team. Reporting to the Senior Programme Assurance Manager, you’ll take ownership of improving and monitoring our internal controls, ensuring our funding programmes remain fully compliant and resilient as they support over £1bn of investment in public sector decarbonisation.
This is a role that combines process improvement, data-driven assurance, project management, and collaborative leadership. You’ll provide intelligence and assurance to scheme leads, support external reporting, foster cross-department collaboration, and empower your team to deliver their best.
What you’ll be doing
- Developing and implementing governance and assurance frameworks across Salix programmes
- Overseeing quality controls, risk registers, progress reporting, and data preparation for policy decisions
- Supporting the launch of new schemes with robust controls in partnership with other departments
- Representing Salix at meetings, presentations, and client visits across the UK
- Motivating, developing, and supporting your team, promoting wellbeing, feedback, and professional growth
- Upholding and championing Salix values in your daily work
About you
We’re seeking someone with:
- At least 3 years’ experience in a relevant role, including people management
- A strong track record with assurance and controls frameworks, and process design
- Experience in governance, risk, compliance, or related sectors
- Analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative approach
- A passion for sustainability and driving real-world change
