Providing support to the Manufacturing Planning and Control function to ensure there is the appropriate tools, processes and policies in place
Salary: Circa £47,500 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:
Providing support to the Manufacturing Planning and Control function to ensure there is the appropriate tools, processes and policies in place and that they are maintained and fit for purpose. With the following main specific responsibilities: –
- Management and supervision of the MRP Controllers employed in the Central Data Team.
- Proactive involvement in the support and development of deployed resource, ensuring MRP Controllers are trained and have the necessary skills.
- Control and governance of planning related master data via audits ensuring accuracy of the MRP system.
- Support the Master Scheduler in making decisions around planning strategies and decoupling.
- Use of SAP to extract, understand and interpret data and communicate cause and effects based on actions/ decisions taken
- Work with cross functional business teams to identify and implement process improvements which better support the use of SAP with a key focus on customer delivery.
- Create and review detailed requirement analysis document and functional specifications based on business requirements for external consultant (DXC).
- Provide MRP support to the MP&C community.
- Coordinate and evaluate SAP queries from the MP&C team, communicate resolutions to queries and develop proposals for process improvements.
- Support and undertake testing of new functionality in the MRP system, also represent MP&C in improvement programmes associated with the integration of MRP and the Manufacturing Execution System.
- Support the MP&C functional Manager in the maintenance of policies and processes for Planning and Control. Assess compliance to these policies and processes by supporting regular audits.
- Support the MP&C function in the generation of planning KPIs to support the sales and ops process and other business reviews.
What we\’re looking for from you:
- HNC Level of qualifications or equivalent.
- A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Manufacturing planning, Supply chain management or a related position.
- APICs supply chain certification desirable but not essential to the role.
- Experience in the use of MRP is essential, SAP is beneficial.
- Good Planning and organising skills.
- Communication skills both verbally and in writing.
- Analytical and problem solving skills.
- Attention to detail
