Join our dynamic On-Trade team as a New Business Key Account Manager , focused on the Independent Free Trade (IFT) sector. You’ll play a key role in driving sales growth, building long-term relationships, and expanding the presence of our leading beverage brands across pubs, bars, restaurants, and licensed venues.
The Role
As New Business Key Account Manager , you’ll manage a portfolio of on-trade accounts within your territory, secure new business opportunities, and bring our brands to life through strategic execution. You’ll collaborate with internal teams to deliver value-driven solutions, tailored customer support, and impactful trade marketing activations.
Duties And Responsibilities
Account Management & Growth
- Manage a portfolio of on-trade accounts, building long-term relationships with key decision-makers
- Identify and drive growth opportunities within existing customers through new products and tailored support
Business Development
- Proactively win new business across Independent and Managed Free Trade channels
- Build a strong sales pipeline and secure new distribution points for core and priority brands
Sales Strategy & Execution
- Execute field sales plans to maximise brand visibility and availability
- Negotiate commercial agreements, including pricing and promotions, to meet business target.
Customer Service & Support
- Act as the main point of contact for accounts, delivering first-class service and solutions
- Support accounts with regular visits, product training, and merchandising excellence
Market & Competitor Insight
- Monitor trends, competitor activity, and on-trade behaviours to identify opportunities
- Share relevant insights with internal teams to support decision-making and innovation
Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with marketing, trade marketing, and commercial teams to align efforts
- Provide regular updates on sales performance, customer feedback, and market trends
Who We’re Looking For
- Field sales or key account experience in the on-trade
- Proven success in winning new business and growing accounts
- Commercially driven, target-oriented, and confident in negotiations
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and analytical skills
- Organised and proactive, with a full UK driving licence
- Passionate about the UK beverage industry and the on-trade channel (Independent Free Trade)
- Based London and South of England Travel
