Overview
Renewable Energy – Project Development Consultant (Archaeologist) – Solar Energy Projects. London office with hybrid working pattern and field-based site visits. Salary range dependent on candidate experience.
Our client is an exciting renewable energy company focused on a net-zero transition, contributing across project development, business decarbonization, and renewable energy consultations. The role sits within the in-house project development function, providing a high level of influence and input over project strategy in your area of expertise. The current focus is on developing utility-scale solar projects from inception through ready-to-build stage, with projects typically in the 5–7MW size range.
Responsibilities
- Conduct geophysical surveys of project sites.
- Perform magnetometry surveys to identify underground structures.
- Assess topographical and geological stability to determine project suitability.
- Collaborate with the in-house team to align archeological findings with project development needs.
- Travel frequently across the UK for site visits and assessments.
Qualifications & Experience
- Approximately 5 years of industry experience in archaeology or a designated related field.
- Experience in consultancy preferred.
- CIFA membership would be ideal.
