As an Electrical Commissioning Engineer, you will be part of an organization that is 100-percent employee owned, supporting many opportunities for career advancement and success.
The role of our HV Electrical Commissioning Engineer is to ensure that building services systems are properly commissioned in accordance with relevant requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
- Act safely at all times, following health and safety policies
- Work diligently, efficiently, and professionally
- Ensure technical compliance and high-quality production
- Collaborate with the main contractor\’s team to develop commissioning strategies meeting project objectives
- Adopt the company\’s project and management systems
- Monitor project finances and control expenditure
- Attend meetings as required
- Produce reports covering technical, commercial, and programmatic aspects
- Develop project-specific management and validation documents for commissioning
- Provide technical input on drawings, manuals, and submissions
- Create procedural instructions and test scripts
- Report scope changes internally
- Assess progress, difficulties, and costs with the project team
- Perform hands-on commissioning work as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- BEng in Electrical Engineering with Building Services
- Significant project management experience
- Additional modules: Construction Contract Law, Project Management, Building Services Engineering, Environmental Systems, Lighting Design, Energy in Buildings, Time Management, Presentations
- Membership in CIBSE, ASHRAE, or similar is advantageous
- Minimum 5 years in project or commissioning management in building projects (Commercial, Residential, Life Science, Healthcare)
- Experience with company quality and environmental policies
- Proficiency in MS Office

- Experienced engineer, PE licensed or skilled technician with strong MEP and HVAC controls knowledge
- Good computer and typing skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Project

- Knowledge of construction practices and systems engineering
- Understanding of project accounting and financial tools
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
