A prestigious organisation in Bristol is seeking an experienced Contract Buyer to join their dynamic procurement team. This role offers the chance to play a key role in ensuring the seamless supply of materials and services essential to the organisation s manufacturing and engineering operations.

In this pivotal position, you will manage the procurement process from end to end – placing orders, evaluating suppliers, and conducting quality and efficiency reviews. Your work will directly contribute to the smooth running of operations and the company s overall success.

Key Responsibilities for Contract Buyer:
– Place purchase orders for materials and services in line with operational requirements
– Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability
– Conduct supplier performance reviews and ensure compliance with standards
– Collaborate with internal teams to align procurement activities with strategic goals
– Utilise Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems to manage procurement and inventory
– Ensure timely delivery of goods and services to support manufacturing and engineering schedules

Essential Requirements for the Contract Buyer:
– Proven experience working with MRP systems
– Strong background in manufacturing or engineering industries
– Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
– High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
– Strong communication skills for effective liaison with suppliers and internal stakeholders
