As a Class 1 LGV Driver for our Transport Department, the role entails executing bulk collections and deliveries between various DPD sites and customers nationwide. This position requires operating a modern and well-maintained fleet on predetermined shift patterns, delivering to HGV-friendly locations.

Key responsibilities include:
● Conducting safe and efficient transportation of goods across the country.
● Adhering strictly to agreed shift patterns and delivery schedules.
● Performing trailer swaps or overseeing live unloading and reloading processes, as per specific customer requirements.
● Maintaining a high standard of professionalism and representing the company\’s values at all times.
● Ensuring compliance with all relevant road safety regulations and company policies.
● Accurately completing all necessary documentation and reports related to deliveries and collections.
● Promptly reporting any vehicle issues or maintenance requirements to the appropriate department.
● Continuously monitoring and adapting to changing road conditions and traffic situations to ensure timely deliveries.
● Collaborating effectively with warehouse staff, dispatchers, and other team members to optimize logistics operations.
● Upholding the highest standards of customer service during all interactions with clients and recipients.

What we’re looking for:

To be considered for the role you must have:
● A valid UK Class 1 Driving Licence
● Minimum 12 months Class 1 experience
● A valid UK CPC Card
● A valid UK Digital Tachograph Card
● Ability to load / unload trailers where needed
