We are looking for a Site Manager to run a fast-track refurbishment restaurant project situated on the Isle of Wight Project: Restaurant chain Brief scope: * Full internal and external decorations * Internal and external render and plaster repairs * General external repair works * New floor finishes * New tiling * New joinery installations (Bar servery/ screens/ windows/ doors) * Mechanical and electrical works All subcontractor packages/ materials/ hire equipment/ labour etc are all procured and ready to go. Programme: -4 weeks. -Start on site on 26th August (‘soft start’ week setting up scaffold and starting external repair works) -Closure of business on 2nd September to start full works internally. -Practical completion on Friday 19th September. -Handover to client on Tuesday 23rd September. Candidate must be available to work over two of the weekends (6th and 7th of September and 20th and 21st September.) Site working hours are minimum 7:30am- 18:00 however they will be expected to work some hours additional to this to ensure the project is completed safely and on time. Candidate requirements: The ideal candidate; • Will have excellent communication skills • Will have extensive knowledge of Health and Safety within the construction industry and be able to enforce H+S law and company policies on site. • Will be highly experienced and effective in managing shopfitting and refurbishment works. • Will be able to read and understand technical drawings/ specifications. • Will be able to deal directly with members of the client and design team in a helpful professional manner. • Will be computer literate • A trade back ground is preferred but not essential. Candidate must have the following training and qualifications as a minimum: * SMSTS * First Aid at Work Training (3-day) * Asbestos Awareness (successful candidate will also need to undertake the clients specific AA course, which is free) * CSCS card This position is currently aimed at freelance site managers however any candidates that are looking for permanent employment for this type of work will be considered for a job offer if the project is managed well and if they are suitable
