The Role:
We’re looking for an ambitious and determined strategic mind to join our team in London as Chief of Staff. You’ll partner with our VP of Growth to manifest the Nothing vision into reality, with a focus on operations and implementation of the vision and strategy. The Chief of Staff will be entrusted to use their expertise to step in whenever needed to put out short term fires as we build world class organisational capabilities. Your role will have you assisting and communicating with executives in decision-making, program management and initiative implementation.
You will oversee strategic business initiatives, from development through successful execution, under the guidance of senior leadership and department heads. In an ever evolving, rapidly growing business, you will be a key player in reviewing, designing and executing improvements to organisational structure – you will seek out knowledge and skills gaps and bring solutions to address them. The Chief of Staff will strive to improve current processes and optimise organisational procedures for efficiency and productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Streamlining strategic initiatives, overseeing program management as well as company’s strategic business initiatives from ideation to implementation.
- Collaborating with the VP of Growth to determine and prioritize business strategies.
- Promote team integration as well as cross-functional communication and collaboration.
- Providing analysis, recommendations, and options to the VP of Growth regarding high impact decisions, as well as assessing risk when business decisions are made.
- Proactively follow up with the leadership team if and when goals are not being achieved and provide actionable recommendations for improvements.
- Manage key relationships and build a process to track and nurture key internal & external stakeholders.
- Responding to key inquiries on behalf of the VP of Growth.
- Insight into how to improves processes and increase org efficiency
- Support the effective operations of our quarterly strategy planning and risk management processes
- Explore technology frontier by bridging strategic partnership in AI, robotics and relevant fields
- Building business partnership with cornerstone partner in key regions
- Involved in fundraising and working with investors to build strategic partnership
- Lead the collaboration work with leading brands in tech, fashion, music and art, etc.
Requirements:
- 8-10 years of proven success in a business management role, with exposure to executive-levels and a track record of interdepartmental collaboration and communication.
- Experienced in planning and leading strategic initiatives as well as data analysis and budget management.
- Comfortable working across different cultural contexts
- Strong project management skills, able to effectively multitask and prioritize.
- Experience at tier-1 management consulting or investment banking firms preferred.
- Fluent in Mandarin
- Passion for tech products or the consumer tech industry.
- Bachelor’s degree (or above) in business administration or similar field preferred.
- Ability to travel 25% of the year
