Job Description
Are you a Planning Manager, with experience in manufacturing industries? Would you like the opportunity to step into a high-impact senior leadership role where your decisions drive performance, efficiency, and customer satisfaction across the entire business?
We’re seeking a strategic and hands-on Planning Manager to lead the planning function at a tier 1 aerospace manufacturing organisation, that operates as part of a globally recognised group. This is a key leadership position, offering real autonomy to shape site-wide planning performance and directly influence strategic production delivery.
What You’ll Be Doing as Planning Manager:
- Leading and implementing a site-wide planning strategy to meet customer demand and delivery targets
- Managing MRP execution, order creation, and WIP control
- Working closely with production, procurement, supply chain and quality to coordinate efficient planning
- Leading and developing a skilled team, supporting training and continuous improvement
- Driving capacity planning, lead time reduction and improved delivery performance
- Setting scheduling guidelines and KPIs, and ensuring accurate reporting and forecasting
- Contributing to cross-functional improvement initiatives and operational decision-making
What you’ll need as the Planning Manager:
- Extensive planning experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in a highly regulated industry such as aerospace
- Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
- Confident leadership with experience managing teams and cross-functional coordination
- Skilled in capacity analysis, lean planning, and data-driven decision-making
