KS2 Teaching Assistant – Sept 2025
Milk Education is proud to be working in partnership with a highly respected primary school in Wigan (WN1) to recruit a dedicated and compassionate KS2 Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term role starting in September 2025.
As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will provide vital classroom support to the class teacher, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Your role will involve working with small groups of pupils who require additional academic support, as well as offering one-to-one assistance to children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), as needed.
The ideal candidate will be patient, nurturing, and flexible, with a genuine passion for supporting children\’s learning and development. You will play an essential role in promoting both the educational progress and emotional well-being of all pupils, working within a caring and structured setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the class teacher with daily classroom activities and routines
- Support small groups of pupils and provide one-to-one assistance when needed
- Help maintain focus and engagement for pupils throughout the school day
- Prepare learning materials and assist in delivering educational activities
- Encourage a supportive and inclusive learning atmosphere
- Collaborate effectively with teachers and support staff
- Support children with SEND, particularly Autism and Complex Needs
