Nursery Practitioner Level 3 – Early Years Setting

Milk Education is seeking a Level 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join a dedicated early years team at one of our Nurseries in Leeds. The position offers the possibility of becoming permanent after 12 weeks.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Plan and deliver activities in line with the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) to support each child\’s holistic development.
  2. Create a safe, warm, and enriching environment, nurturing curiosity, independence, and social growth.
  3. Carry out regular observations and assessments, contributing to meaningful learning journeys and development plans.
  4. Build open and supportive relationships with parents, carers, and the wider nursery team.
  5. Provide personal care support, such as feeding, toileting, and changing, ensuring children\’s comfort and dignity.
  6. Foster positive behavior and guide social skills using gentle, effective approaches consistent with nursery policies.
  7. Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all children are always maintained.

Requirements

  • A Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years, or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience in a nursery or early years environment is essential.
  • Solid knowledge of EYFS principles, early child development, and effective pedagogical practices.
  • Confidence in supporting children with varying needs, ensuring inclusive care and learning.
  • A caring, patient, and enthusiastic personality, committed to early years education.
  • GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) are required.
