Nursery Practitioner Level 3 – Early Years Setting
Milk Education is seeking a Level 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join a dedicated early years team at one of our Nurseries in Leeds. The position offers the possibility of becoming permanent after 12 weeks.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver activities in line with the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) to support each child\’s holistic development.
- Create a safe, warm, and enriching environment, nurturing curiosity, independence, and social growth.
- Carry out regular observations and assessments, contributing to meaningful learning journeys and development plans.
- Build open and supportive relationships with parents, carers, and the wider nursery team.
- Provide personal care support, such as feeding, toileting, and changing, ensuring children\’s comfort and dignity.
- Foster positive behavior and guide social skills using gentle, effective approaches consistent with nursery policies.
- Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all children are always maintained.
Requirements
- A Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years, or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience in a nursery or early years environment is essential.
- Solid knowledge of EYFS principles, early child development, and effective pedagogical practices.
- Confidence in supporting children with varying needs, ensuring inclusive care and learning.
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic personality, committed to early years education.
- GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) are required.
