What does the day of a Staff Nurse look like?

  • Providing excellent nursing care and support to our residents
  • Overseeing all aspects of medicine management and ensuring the safe administration of medication in accordance with NMC Standards
  • Creating and carrying out treatment plans
  • Offering a safe, caring and stable environment to the people we support
  • Ensuring compliance with all legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines
  • Supporting the Service Manager with key targets by promoting and practising high standards of nursing care and ensuring staff and shifts are supervised in a smooth manner
  • Supporting, guiding, teaching and mentoring other members of the team
  • Working individually and in partnership with the Manager to ensure the smooth running of the home

To be considered for this role, you will need to hold a current registration with the NMC and have a relevant Nursing qualification. With a compassionate and caring attitude, you will have adequate knowledge, experience and a clear understanding of the nursing role and its professional boundaries.
