Buyer Location: Dorset Salary: £34,000 DOE Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday Are you an experienced Buyer with a sharp eye for cost control, supplier relationships, and stock optimisation? This is your opportunity to step into a pivotal role where you\’ll ensure the smooth and efficient procurement of raw materials, while keeping quality and compliance at the heart of everything you do. What you\’ll be doing: Purchasing raw materials at the most cost-effective prices, ensuring security of supply. Selecting, evaluating, and managing approved suppliers in line with c-GMP guidelines. Negotiating supplier terms and pricing, driving year-on-year cost savings. Coordinating raw material inventory across multiple sites to maintain optimal stock levels. Monitoring and maintaining accurate stock control procedures, including production returns and daily reconciliations. Supporting the development and implementation of ERP systems (Winman). Liaising with internal teams and suppliers on lead times, deliveries, and any quality issues. Ensuring all activities adhere to c-GMP standards and contribute to continuous improvement. What we\’re looking for: Proven experience in purchasing/procurement, ideally within a manufacturing or c-GMP environment. Strong negotiation skills and supplier relationship management experience. Excellent organisational and stock control skills, with the ability to manage multiple sites. Confident using ERP systems and comfortable working with data and reporting.
