Electrician – Street Lighting

Location: M4 corridor from Slough to Newbury area.
Role Purpose To provide electrical expertise in installations, repairs, planned maintenance, and new works relating to street lighting and associated equipment. You will ensure all work is completed safely, maintaining personal safety and the safety of others on site.

Responsibilities
Install street lighting signs, columns, bollards, and associated electrical equipment.
Support the installation of new build works.
Conduct electrical inspection, testing, and periodic testing.
Diagnose and repair electrical faults.
Carry out work as instructed by the Site Foreman in compliance with safety standards.
Provide 24-hour emergency response and participate in the out-of-hours standby rota.
Ensure vehicles are maintained to a high standard and complete vehicle defect sheets correctly.Requirements
Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical installations.
Good awareness of site and company rules.
Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative.
Commitment to VolkerHighways’ Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental Policies.Qualifications
17th Edition Electrical qualification (18th Edition desirable).
G39 Certification.
NRSWA accreditation.
MEWP licence.
ECS Test pass.
First Aid (Appointed Person) certification.
Demonstrated electrical competence.
