Location: Broughton, Chester Contract type: Permanent Hours: Full time Salary: £70,000 plus car / car allowance Benefits: 33 days holiday, pension, life assurance, employee assistance programme, wellbeing support, and flexible benefits scheme About the Job As HRBP at Unipart you will formulate and execute initiatives relating to our \’Unipart Way Forward\’ strategy, providing internal and external customer support, and driving business excellence and process improvement. Your role will cover multi-site operations across multi contracts including Airbus, VW, and Leonardo. Your role reports into the Senior HR Business Partner but has a strong focus on supporting the Operations Director as well as senior managers across the business, covering all colleagues working across the full range of people activities. Taking a lead in accurately forecasting and complying with relevant resource budgets as well as controlling HR related costs within the different customer accounts. As part of your key responsibilities you will: • Support the Director and senior leadership team to devise and implement HR strategies • Strategically drive and strengthen Company culture, by championing employee engagement and The Unipart Way Forward • Support the Operations Director and senior leadership team to devise and implement HR strategies, processes and ensure legal compliance • Be a coach and confidant to empower leaders and managers across their Business Unit and contracts • Ensure that HR Ops Partners are aligned to the business and People PDM, have development plans in place to support their CPD and ongoing succession or growth • Ensure that HR Ops Partners are supported and engaged to be passionate champions of policy deployment and successfully coach and upskill managers and leaders in people related topics within their Business Unit • Ensure robust succession planning is in place for all management teams up to and including the senior team, with plans being delivered to support business growth requirements to attract, develop and retain talent within the business • Identify and support collaboration across business functions, and to be future focused as well as present focused • Identify ineffective processes across the HR function and champion improvement, waste reduction and increased performance efficiency • Assess complex situations and act with urgency, calculating and minimising risk to the business, whilst ensuring that communication and understanding is clear, and that the Company reputation is protected • Increase bench strength across all populations, through working with senior leaders, Talent and Capability and external partners to provide a structured methodology and process for enhancing the capability of all teams across the business unit • Ensure colleague feedback is actioned through appropriate channels such as Forums and where relevant Trade Unions, driving a collaborative and partnership approach • Be actively aware of reward trends and activities relevant to the business unit and sector in the external market • Make recommendations and proposals to address any known or future issues • Maintain an inclusive and diverse environment in which every colleague has the opportunity to achieve their full potential About You We\’d love you to have the following skills and experience, but please apply if you think you\’d be able to perform well in this role! • Educated to Graduate level or equivalent • Experience of managing an HR team • Proven experience of developing HR strategy • Experience of developing business teams and increasing team capability • Experience of dealing with large scale / complex change, e.g. TUPE transfers / acquisitions • Effective project management skills with proven ability to develop robust project and task plans and monitor results • Experience in working and influencing in a challenging stakeholder and customer driven environment • Proven success within a commercially focussed environment • Ideally CIPD qualified or part qualified • Previous delivery within an environment of a high degree of organisational change would be an advantage Our recruitment and selection process has been developed to ensure that it is consistent, fair and provides equality of opportunity – all selection decisions are based solely on technical and behavioural competencies.
