Description
We are seeking a talented and driven individual to become the next editor of Somerset Life magazine.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing the editorial process from concept to publication
- Managing and coordinating a team of contributors
- Ensuring all content meets the highest standards of quality and relevance
- Collaborating with marketing and sales teams to align editorial content with business objectives
- Staying updated on industry trends and competitor publications
- Contributing to content planning and strategy
- Networking and attending events in the region
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Proven experience editing lifestyle or premium magazines
- Hold an NCTJ (National Council for the Training of Journalists) qualification
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Strong leadership and management abilities
- Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Is based in the Somerset area and can commute to the Taunton office
- Own vehicle and full UK driving licence
