Job Description:

ARNE is an apparel and footwear brand/retailer based in Birchwood Park near Warrington, UK. We design and develop our products in the UK, manufacture in the near & far east and then ship directly to our customers, via ARNEclo.com. We have recently branched out and are now also available via Selfridges both in store and online.

We have ambitious objectives over the next decade with the team believing all targets are achievable through new product category launches in shoes and womenswear alongside the creation of paid media, CRM activity and further international growth to amplify the great product / brand assets we have already created.

Reporting to our Designer Manager, you’ll be responsible for creating CADs and design packs making products that excite our target audience and are loved by our customers. You will also ensure product is developed in line with our critical path deadlines.

Requirements

  • Adhering to the critical path to achieve all deadline’s, ensuring product is developed for the optimum and forecasted selling period.
  • Responsible for creation of highly accurate CAD and design packs ensuring a smooth creative handover of each garment to manufacturers with minimal clarification needed.
  • Sending weekly fabric and trim requests to suppliers to assist with the development of product.
  • Supporting the organisation of the fabric and trim library.
  • Assist with preparing monthly release CAD boards for display.
  • Working directly with overseas suppliers building strong relationships and ensure relevant research, range plans, tech packs and development are clearly communicated through email and we chat.
  • Assisting in photoshoot preparation and attending photoshoot when required.
  • Attending weekly design and fit sessions to ensure fit and design intentions are met.
  • Completing the approval of lab dips, trims, materials, prints for finalised products.
  • Work within the Design team to help create a design strategy for each season, trend overviews, and design collections. You\’ll take ideas from the initial design concept through to finished product.
  • Research & contribute to the creation of seasonal collections collaboratively with the design team – including researching new trends/ competitors, with a focus on commerciality and have the opportunity to discuss new ideas.
  • Completing sourcing packs for fabric, print, graphics for upcoming seasons.
  • Identify new product opportunities to support the growth and expansion of the business.
  • Willingness and flexibility to adapt ways of working to meet brand requirements and deadlines
  • Self-motivated and have good time management with the ability to adapt.
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proficient use of Adobe suite (Illustrator and photoshop) & Excel.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a fast-paced fashion environment
