Job description

HourlyRate: £13.26 – £17.96

The advertisedhourly rate includes a supplement (JWC) to the base grade of thepost. JWC supplements are conditional on the physical demands and/or working conditions of the role.

A market supplementis currently being applied to all night and weekend (Saturday andSunday) shifts, uplifting your hourly rate in these periods tobetween approx. £17.68 – £17.96. This will replace any previousmarket supplements and will apply to both your contracted hoursand to any additional hours worked within the applicable timeperiods.

Location: Our Supported Living Servicecovers over 6 locations in and around Kendal.

AvailableHours: 0 hours/Relief – As and when required to coverlong and short term absences.

Our hardworking and friendly teams arelooking to recruit more likeminded people to make a difference toour Service User’s lives. Enabling them to access thepersonalised support they need to live independently in their ownhomes and access their local communities.

Our Teams promote independence, build lifeskills and support our Service User’s in their interests andhobbies. This could be a trip to the Zoo, an evening of liveentertainment, boating in the Lakes, or supporting footballteams.

Depending on the Service user, the level ofsupport needed may vary per person. Responsibilities may includesupporting with medication, personal care, nutrition, hydration,community engagement and emotional care.

As a relief member of our team, your hourswill be ‘as and when required’, allowing the role to work aroundyou and your availability. Where possible, advance notice will begiven for available shifts, to cover short, and at times, longterm absence within Kendal Supported Living Service.

You will be entitled to the same benefitsas our contracted employees and we provide a thorough andsupportive induction for all our new staff which will includefully paid training and shadowing.
