How you’ll make a difference You will be responsible for the production of regular financial forecasts using the Society’s financial modelling system and for the analysis of monthly financial results to drive insight into the Society’s performance against forecast.
This will involve:
- Production of monthly and annual forecast balance sheet, income statement and cash flows using the Society’s financial modelling system, QRM.
- Operation and maintenance of robust financial controls around the forecasting process to minimise the risk of errors.
- Critical review of QRM inputs and outputs to provide assurance to stakeholders over the accuracy of the Plan / forecast.
- Analysis of forecast outputs to provide explanations for changes from previous forecasts.
- Analysis of monthly financial results to understand and explain variances to Corporate Plan / forecasts and monthly movements in financial results. Support the Financial Planning Accountant with the production of monthly reports for BSOG and the SLT.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- Ideally a part qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified with relevant experience in an accounting or FP&A role
- Highly numerate with good analytical and Microsoft Excel skills. Experience of handling, manipulating and interpreting data
- Able to work to tight deadlines
- Able to build strong relationships with stakeholders
- Strong communication skills
