Porters play a vital role in Radiology, taking patients and their notes to and from the department to facilitate examinations or procedures. They are also responsible for the removal of waste from the department\’s disposal areas, in accordance with the Trust\’s Waste Disposal Policy.

We are seeking suitable candidates to join our existing team of radiology porters.

The posts include a commitment to work on a rota covering 7 days between 8am and 8pm.

Main duties of the job

  1. Work as part of the Radiology Portering team to assist the Portering Supervisor and Head of Portering in providing an efficient and high-quality portering service within the Radiology department.
  2. Project a positive image of the department and Trust to patients, staff, and visitors.
  3. Communicate effectively with all staff to ensure issues are addressed promptly.
